Rogaine Foam vs. Kirkland Minoxidil
I have been using Rogaine for a long time (more than 3 years), but I recently switched over to Kirkland Minoxidil. Here is my review of the two products.
Pros
- Feels less greasy on the scalp
- Dries faster on scalp
Cons
- Expensive. Over $30 for three months supply
- Foam gets onto the hair very easily
Pros
- Cheaper than Rogaine. $33 for six months supply from Amazon.
- Easier to apply directly onto the scalp
Cons
- Dries up more slowly
- More greasy feeling on the scalps
Overall Recommendation
I would recommend Kirkland Minoxidil. The satisfaction level of the two products is pretty much the same. I don't think one product has noticeably better impact than the other. Kirkland is half the price of Rogaine, so I think Kirkland is better for long term users.

Shampoo Reviews
I have used 3 shampoos during my treatment.
Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo
Link : Amazon
Recommend : Yes
Shampoo feels fresh after rinsing. Shampoo doesn't have as much tingling effect as other tea tree shampoos, which I think is a positive.
Pura D'or Hair Loss Prevention Organic Argan Shampoo
Link : Amazon
Recommend : Yes
Shampoo doesn't leave any residue after rinsing. It feels very fresh and clean after rinsing. However, my scalp feels a little bit dry after using this shampoo. Too frequent use of this shampoo made my scalp dry and uncomfortable unless I use a conditioner after shampooing.
Art Naturals Organic Argan Oil Hair Loss Shampoo
Link : Amazon
Recommend : Yes
This one has a great moisturizing effect. Unlike the other 2 shampoos, this one doesn't feel like the shampoo is completely rinsed off after rinsing it off.
