Rogaine Foam vs. Kirkland Minoxidil

I have been using Rogaine for a long time (more than 3 years), but I recently switched over to Kirkland Minoxidil. Here is my review of the two products.

Pros

  • Feels less greasy on the scalp
  • Dries faster on scalp

Cons

  • Expensive. Over $30 for three months supply
  • Foam gets onto the hair very easily

Pros

  • Cheaper than Rogaine. $33 for six months supply from Amazon.
  • Easier to apply directly onto the scalp

Cons

  • Dries up more slowly
  • More greasy feeling on the scalps

Overall Recommendation

I would recommend Kirkland Minoxidil. The satisfaction level of the two products is pretty much the same. I don't think one product has noticeably better impact than the other. Kirkland is half the price of Rogaine, so I think Kirkland is better for long term users.
